To be perfectly honest, I’m not sure what I’m doing. That isn’t all that unusual, of course. But one thing I can say for sure: when I started the writing adventure, there’s no way I could foresee myself ending up here. God’s plan was a lot cooler than I could have expected.
This all started when I joined a website called Kingdom Pen- no, wait, it started when I wrote some Minecraft- inspired cringiness in middle school, no, I think it all started when I narrated stories about cats and dogs and polar bears to my mom. She would faithfully write them down, find animal themed post cards to illustrate them, and encourage me to tell her more.
Yeah, that’s where this started. But enough about my backstory.
*spins around in a big, imposing chair, petting a black cat and twirling my mustache* You’re probably wondering why I asked you here today. I’m going to be as straightforward about this as possible: I’m taking over the world. And the moon too probably. But today we’re focusing on the world.
*gasps from the audience*
*the distant sounds of a mentor character dying to give the Chosen One motivation to defeat me*
*some lightning and thunder for dramatic effect*
You see, on top of being a super villain, I’m also a writer. Logically, it follows that I write. Sometimes. It’s not always easy when you have plot bunnies actually sitting on your laptop.
Yes, I am talking about you, little bunny. Shoo!
Eh, he’ll come back when I’m trying to sleep sometime.
I’m still figuring out what to do with my writing. One thing I’ve learned from
stalking observing successful writers is the importance of networking. After all, how would I have found them (and their fantastic stories!) if they didn’t have an online presence?
I WOULDN’T. AND THAT WOULD BE VERY SAD.
And here we come to the taking over the world part. I want to get my writing where people can read it somehow, and though that part of my nefarious plan is still a little fuzzy (I’m going to have to polish it up before my big evil monologue), having a platform where I can share it seems like a good choice.
So. Prepare yourself for random short stories, maybe the occasional serial, and ramblings about life most likely typed up at ridiculous hours of the night. And book reviews.
I just really like to talk about books.
I’ll come up with something resembling a posting schedule soon. For now, be on the lookout for something on the 8th.
And so the adventure begins! May this be glorifying to God, and the start of something awesome!
